  • Every client and their items or estates are unique and therefore the consignment fees are tailored to each client. Consignment fees are taken from the profits of the auctions and are how auction houses make money. There is no upfront fees for auctioning your items. We strive to offer competitive fees in the local market. Reach out to us today to understand your consignment fees and any additional costs.

  • Sellers bring us items or estates they would like to auction off, and we start by organizing the auction and its contents. Once organized, the contents are photographed, and then they are researched and described. All the photos and descriptions are posted online through the bidding platform, and the auction is advertised throughout the Wellington and Waterloo counties. Typically for two weeks the auction is online for viewing. After the two weeks, the auction becomes "live" on Saturday mornings at 7am and bidders are able to place their bids for 5 days. Auctions typically close on Wednesday night at 7pm. Shortly after the auction, pickup day(s) are listed at the bottom of the invoices that are emailed out to the customers.

  • Typically, we recommend at the very least a month from start to finish of the process depending on size of auction. More time is often recommended as bookings happen two to three months in advance.

  • The best way to get specific questions answered is to use the "Contact Auctioneer" button. Click on the lot you have questions about and the "Contact Auctioneer" button is located underneath the Auctioneer Information, typically found under the location of the auction. Or send us an email (auction@kelsobid.com) with the lot number and your questions.

  • We package auction items in house for a fee of $15-$20CAD for packing and handling on top of Canada Post postal rates, dependent on size and weight of parcel(s). You can inquire the cost of a lot or item by sending us an email with the lot number and your postal code or area code (USA) and we can send you an approximate quote subject to change.

  • Use the "Contact Auctioneer" button located on the lot listing or link of the item you wish to ship. Or send us an email (auction@kelsobid.com) and include the lot(s) numbers. Include your postal code or area code (USA) and we can see if we are able to ship the item for you or arrange for an external shipper.
